SAFE Program – Law Enforcement

The Oklahoma Highway Safety Office and the OK SAFE Program will host a two-week seatbelt enforcement emphasis beginning in the spring, targeting teen drivers and their occupants.

Overview

We are asking you to assign an officer to patrol around your high school approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of school and 30 minutes immediately following the school day.

How You Can Help:

This is the 6th year law enforcement agencies in Oklahoma will participate in the OK SAFE seatbelt enforcement emphasis. In an effort to increase seatbelt compliance, we are asking you to target the area around your high school. Any person not properly restrained should be issued a citation.
